Adidas Launches GilTV
Adidas is going viral to promote its latest shoe collection with the Washington Wizards’ Gilbert Arenas.
GilTV, found online at Giltv.com, goes live today. The official Website for the 20-style Gil II Zero collection of shoes will give details and pictures of each limited-edition style in the collection the day it is released (styles will be released throughout the season as Arenas wears them on court), and also feature videos of Arenas in character.
This Friday, Arenas will debut the Customize style — which has a white rewritable upper and comes with a Dry Erase marker — in his game against the Golden State Warriors. On Friday, the Customize, as well as inline styles in home (white/gray) and away (black/sandstorm) colorways, and in a team signature colorway, will also be available at retail. Three thousand pairs of the limited-edition Customize style will be available worldwide.

Target and Converse to Team Up for One Star

After adding a slew of high-profile names to its merchandise roster, Target is ready to add another for spring: Converse.
According to a Monday press release, North Andover, Mass.-based Converse and Minneapolis-based Target Corp. will team up to offer vintage-inspired apparel and footwear under the One Star label exclusively at Target and at Target.com in the U.S. starting this February. The collection will include vintage-inspired sportswear and footwear for men, women and kids.
“One Star has been a successful part of the Converse family for more than 30 years. This collaboration will enable us to deliver an innovative, premium head-to-toe lifestyle product collection while creating an exclusive One Star offering for Target guests," Jack Boys, Converse CEO, said in the statement.
