Jordan Brand and Levi Strauss & Co. are teaming up to create a head-to-toe package.
The limited-edition Jordan Levi’s Collection for men will be dubbed the 23/01 collection. It will arrive in stores beginning in March 2008, the companies said in a statement released Monday.
The package will include the Air Jordan Retro 1 sneakers, co-branded Levi’s Original 501 jeans and a signature T-shirt, featuring graphics from both brands. The sneakers will be made from denim and printed with the traditional Jordan Brand elephant graphic design.
The jeans will be premium, selvage denim lined with the Jordan Brand elephant print and featuring a gold metallic zipper and embroidered Jordan Brand Jumpman logos on the pockets. The jeans also will include a sneaker protector at the cuff to limit transfer of any indigo dye. Items will come enclosed in co-branded packaging designed specially for the project.
“Jordan Brand has always prided itself on being the innovator of urban, sport fashion, and we are proud to partner with a true fashion icon — the original inventor of the blue jean — Levi Strauss & Co.,” Fran Boller, business director of apparel for Jordan Brand, said in the statement. “We believe that this collaboration with Levi’s is the perfect opportunity to offer this exclusive package to consumers looking for something truly original and authentic.”
