Adidas Remix

Adidas Links with ROBOT Films on Limited Edition EQT B-Ball
adidas REMIX Collection, the brand’s new underground line of basketball shoes, has extended its series of collaborations by partnering with renowned video director Chris Robinson and Set Free from the urban marketing house, ROBOT Films, on a limited edition EQT B-Ball shoe which is slated to drop late Summer ’07.

The original 1990’s silhouette is upgraded with a sleek, silver-on-grey 3M reflector upper that gets its shine on when the lights go out. A translucent gum rubber sole gives way to a robot-inspired internal computer board graphic similar to what one would find if they cracked a Mac or PC. Two neoprene / Lycra blend sockliners retail with the shoe - one of which continues the computer board graphic and the second being a Robot Films logo montage.

The adidas x ROBOT EQT B-Ball is the product of a mutual vision shared between Robinson & Free. Both have accrued impressive resumes working with the best in the industry including Jay-Z, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Alicia Keyes, Mary J. Blige, Fat Joe, Paul Wall, Bone Thugs, Amerie and most recently T.I. and Wyclef.

“We wanted to do a shoe guys would want to rock in the videos and on the street,” said Free. ROBOT Films is authentic and its connections to the music world are unrivaled. In the coming weeks this will become even more apparent as videos drop, artists are out and their shoes are front and center.

The adidas x ROBOT EQT B-Ball will be a tight run of 500 pairs in the US and will retail for $150 at select specialty doors starting August 18th.
